Day 1 : Arrival - Transfer to hotel in Reykjavik

Reykjavik, Iceland
Reykjavik, Iceland

Location: Reykjavik

Day 2 : Golden Circle Day Tour

Location: Golden Circle

Accommodation Name: 3-star hotel

Meals Included: Breakfast

You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning for your day tour to the Golden Circle. You'll visit the famous Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir geothermal area.

Geysir Geothermal Area

The Geysir geothermal area hosts hundreds of colorful hot springs and two geysers, erupting hot springs. One is called “Geysir” and name giving for all the geysers in the world. Today, however, it erupts very seldom. The other geyser is called “Strokkur” and erupts every 5 minutes up to 40 meters.

Gullfoss Waterfall

The melting water from Iceland´s second biggest glacier, Langjökull, falls into a deep canyon forming the majestic “Golden Falls”. On a sunny day, you can see the glacier Langjökull in the distance and enjoy a rainbow in the mist of the waterfall, an Instagram blockbuster waiting to happen!

Þingvellir National Park

We visit the place where the two tectonic plates, the North American and the Eurasian plate, are moving away from each other. Few places in the world offer a better and clearer view of this massive geographic activity. The biggest natural lake in Iceland is also located at Thingvellir National Park and hosts a great variety of fish and bird life. Thingvellir is also an important place for Icelandic national history. At Thingvellir Icelanders founded their parliament in 930 a.d. where the chieftains had their annual meeting every summer. The name “Thingvellir” translates to “Parliament Plains”.

Day 3 : Snæfellsnes Peninsula Day Tour

Location: Snæfellsnes Peninsula

Accommodation Name: 3-star hotel

Meals Included: Breakfast

The adventure begins when the minibus picks you up in Reykjavík from your designated location. After that, you’ll be headed to all the wonders that the Hidden Gem of the West, the peninsula of Snæfellsnes has to offer.

Kirkjufell, “The Church Mountain”, and Kirkjufellfoss waterfall This iconic narrow mountain has become the landmark of Snæfellsnes in recent years. It became famous after being presented as the “Arrowhead Mountain” on Game of Thrones. The erosive powers of the glaciers during the last ice age about 12,000 years ago gave this mountain its shape. Due to this unique look, it is one of the most photographed sights in Iceland and just across you will see the beautiful waterfall Kirkjufellsfoss which completes your perfect shot of the mountain. There are numerous vantage points for the perfect photograph and our guides know them all!

Búdakirkja, the Black Church of Búdir On the south coast of the peninsula, there’s a village with only a hotel and a tiny black church called the Búdakirkja that sits alone among a field of lava rocks. Búdakirkja was built on the spot in 1703 and reconstructed in 1987 after a claim by a single member that lobbied to have it back. It has an historic graveyard, a bell and chalice from the time it was erected. It is a listed building, owned by the National Museum of Iceland, but it is in the care of the Búdir parish. Without a doubt, this picturesque chapel has a romantic air about it and is a real attraction to the site

Arnarstapi Fishing Village, Hellnar & Arch This tiny fishing village has picturesque coastal cliffs which derived from glowing magma hitting the wild waves of the Atlantic. Known in Iceland as the most beautiful harbor of the country. Thousands of years later erosion has formed beautiful stone arcs and a remarkable marine geyser. Enjoy a walk along the coastline while your guide tells you all about Bárður, half-man half-troll, and his misdeeds in the area.

Ytri Tunga beach and seal colony Ytri-Tunga is a sandy beach that has a little secret hidden away down by the sea, behind the farmhouses… a seal colony! Seals love to spend their time on the rocks of this beautiful beach. They are friendly and curious and will climb up on the rocks for you to spot them from a distance.

Lóndrangar and Basalt Cliffs The Lóndrangar are a pair of rock pinnacles in Iceland and are remnants from a bigger crater which has mostly eroded away. Looming over the entire southern coastline, Lóndrangar, a set of 75-meter high basalt pinnacles set the tone for what’s to come. They host a variety of seabirds, northern fulmars and puffins, and others.

Djúpalónssandur, beach of black volcanic sand A beach of black volcanic sand and stones where for centuries Icelandic fishermen rowed out to the fertile fishing grounds of the Atlantic ocean. Still today we find the so-called “lifting stones” which fishermen of yore used to test out their strength and prove themselves worthy of the physically straining life of Atlantic rowboat fishing. You can try to lift them yourself! In 1948 a British fishing trawler stranded on the sand reefs of Djúpalónssandur. Five men perished while 14 were rescued by local rescue squads. The remains of the ship are still there, strewn across the beach as an eerie reminder of the awesome power of nature.

Saxhóll Volcanic Crater Formed over 4,000 years ago, this volcanic crater has now been made accessible via an iron staircase giving you the option of hiking it. The hike is not too challenging and gives you a 360° view of the lava fields with Snæfellsjökull glacier looming over.

The adventure ends when your guide drops you off Reykjavík at designated location and then you can go home to tell all tours friends about the wonders that Western Iceland has to offer. Are you ready to explore the most sci-fi-esque area of the country? Would you like to see black churches, volcanic beaches, and the most photographed sight of Iceland, Kirkjufell, the “Church mountain”? If any of the above ticks your box, then there’s nothing to wait for!

Day 4 : South Coast Day Tour

Location: Vatnajokull Glacier National Park

Accommodation Name: 3-star hotel

Meals Included: Breakfast

On this tour you will travel along Iceland's South coast on the narrow strip of lush farmland that cuts between mountains, glaciers, and the vast Atlantic Ocean. The route is lined with natural treasures including the iconic Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls, Skaftafell National Park, and Vatnajokull glacier to name but a few.

Passing the southern edge of the mighty Vatnajokull Glacier roughly midway between Reykjavik and Jokulsarlon glacier Lagoon, Skaftafell National Park offers magnificent views of glaciers, rivers and endless plains of sand. Skaftafell is a part of Vatnajokull Glacier National Park that stretches over an area of 14.000 square km, or roughly 10 times the size of London.

When you think nothing can beat the scenery, Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon opens up before your eyes and takes your breath away. Packed with icebergs in various shades of white and blue, the lagoon‘s extraordinary scenery is popular with travellers, photographers and filmmakers from all over the world.

Various bird species can be seen feeding in and around the lagoon and seals are a fairly common sight both at the mouth of the lagoon and at the seaside beach.

We booked with Marina Travel and they did an excellent job. We went to Blue Lagoon and even added a 30 minute in water massage for my husband. The driver was fabulous, even shared some Iceland history with us on the way there. Would definitely recommend them. ...more ...less

01-Mar-2025

We went on a six-night, seven-day trip under the name of cotton balls. It was nice to stay in the accommodation in good condition throughout the trip and I could see the aurora almost every day in the accommodation. Above all, our mate Valerio tried to show the tourist attractions in good condition by checking the weather every time. This was the most grateful point of this trip. Thanks to our mate, I think my trip to Iceland will remain a good memory. Thank you so much to the mate valerio for always driving safely for our cotton ball group and allowing us to have a good trip by checking the weather 🥹💗 ...more ...less

16-Feb-2025

I joined the Suite Euro package tour in Iceland, and it was an amazing experience. The accommodations were great, and the travel itinerary was well-planned. At the beginning of the trip, the weather was so bad that we almost couldn’t visit some of the planned destinations. However, thanks to our driver Josip, who did his best to make sure we got to see everything, we were able to visit Kirkjufell. The wind and rain were so strong that we could barely stand, so we had a quick look from the parking lot before heading back to the hotel. Suite Euro tour guide and Josip also shared useful travel tips about Iceland and was always kind and helpful. Even when our schedule was delayed by a day, Jo kindly offered to take us to the airport (thank you so much!). We had such a fun conversation on the way. A huge thanks to both our tour guide and driver for ensuring a safe and enriching journey throughout the trip! ...more ...less

04-Oct-2022

We just returned from a 14 day self-driving tour organized for us by Marina Travel. They provided access to a 9-passenger van, hotels w/breakfast and a itinerary/route with numerous points of interest along the way . Everything they did for us worked out very well, and we're very happy with our experience. I particularly liked staying at the Fosshotels. We encountered a weather concern, and discovered that they operate their offices 7 days a week, which is very comforting in a foreign environment. I'd give them an A+. ...more ...less

24-May-2022

Waited for them to show up for 3 hours in the snow with 3 kids. They never showed up, and then claimed that they did so that they wouldn't refund us. Save your money and buy your own tickets to whatever event, and book your own taxi. We had to do that in the end anyway. Edit: their response is a lie. They never showed and we paid $200 for a taxi to get us there and the chargeback went through, so luckily I did get a refund, just not through any good customer service, only by forcing it through. I think I'll go find a few more places to inform customers about your horrible service with more reviews, right now. ...more ...less

I loved the blue lagoon...

11-Jan-2025

I loved the blue lagoon such an amazing experience however I just wouldn’t do it again with Marina tours. There’s no need. They just pick you up from the hotel and drop you off at the general bus stop and then you get on another random bus that takes you to the resort. You can easily do this with a normal bus with normal prices! We paid over €500 for the experience and I now know I could have gotten it much cheaper and marina tours are just not helpful. They send out weird cryptic emails with confusing directions and then they just remain silent. There’s no “tour” aspect to it. ***EDIT SINCE MARINA TOURS HAVE REPLIED: You even said it yourself in the below email. you sent me a detailed version on the 27th WHICH WAS THE DAY OF MY TOUR and you literally sent it to me while i was queuing up at the blue lagoon! You cannot take criticism for some reason which is astonishing considering you get SO many complaints. I want you to email me with a proper response to my complaint. I should not have to reach out to you. AGAIN. ...more ...less

EDIT: It’s unfortunate to now...

17-Aug-2021

EDIT: It’s unfortunate to now see the owners tell me I am a liar. We did not hang up nor yell on the phone. Good business practice would be taking the time to speak with me and come to a mutual conclusion if I somehow was misunderstanding so deeply. It’s what makes people change their mind on reviews, etc. Plus - I wish I had a single driver ask me if I were going with Marina Tours. Probably wouldn’t have sat there for over an hour. Ah well. I think this place is a scam and doesn’t exist. Unfortunately, this place was as unprofessional as they get. We were not informed what time to pick up our tour bus and it took 3 calls and 1 email to get ahold of a single person. They told us finally to meet at 8:30am at our bus stop. We got there at 8:20, and asked every single tour bus driver if they were part of Marina Tours for blue lagoon and had our party name on the list. 100% of them said no. We called Marina Tours and the woman said that some driver kept calling for us - look, there were 3 people looking. It never happened. They said they’d send another bus to our stop at 9. Then at 9:30. No one came (only a bus for a troll tour and for a horse tour). Called again, they said they were looking for us - never happened. Said we weren’t at bus stop 3, we took a picture of the stop. It was 3. Now they won’t give us our refund because we “didn’t cancel 24 hours before” - kind of hard to know that a tour company will never show up or do what you paid for 24 hours ahead. We kept our cool and the lady just ended up hanging up on us. So, beware. I’m not sure this place is even real. ...more ...less
